On acknowledging yourself & closeness ~ December Newsletter & Audio journey

Winter (1 von 1).jpg

a moment of being with yourself ::: a little journey for the end of the year ::: touching on closeness with yourself

This Newsletter turned actually out to be a little accompanied journey in support of slowing down and reconnecting with yourself - so I recorded it! I would actually recommend listening to it. While sitting, lying down, getting to sleep … taking a break …

Dear You

I'm wondering ... can this  - yet another article! - become an invitation for reconnecting with yourself and tuning into a sense of slowing down ... ?

:::

What kind of deeper invitation might be waiting for you here ~ in this moment ... not from me, but from yourself, or from life ..?

:::

Let's take this moment to pause ... breathing is available. Hearing is available. There's nothing you need to do for that to happen ...

Where am I meeting you with these words? How is this particular moment on this day unfolding for you. What's the taste of this moment ... what's the sensational texture within your body ... ? How is it - to be you ... just now?

You as part of the beauty, the complexity and the mystery of this world. And also ... maybe within a certain simplicity …

I would like to invite you to inquire into the possibility of slowing ... again …

Allowing the ground underneath you to reveal itself to you ... maybe like an ancient ally ... noticing the support of that, which is already here and ... available to you. Breathing is available ... the support of the floor is here ...

And within and around this moment of you, being (with) yourself, breathing, seeing, hearing ... there is also the beginning of the last month of this year happening.

When I think about this year ... I'm wondering about your story ... wondering ... what was your experience of being alive during this year, these times? What did unfold for you and what didn't? I'm imagining all those individual stories ... threads ... all interwoven ... in one fabric ... interwoven with the stories of Earth herself, other humans and the other-than-humans ...

I'm wondering: what's your relationship to your experiences ... do you feel seen, acknowledged - by yourself and maybe by others? For the crucial moments during this year ...

Were there many moments, where you gave presence to what was alive within you? For the grief and the joy? Or was there such overwhelm, that you were carried away from even the possibility of being present with what's alive within you? And were there allies, friends, elders with you - who were supporting you in giving presence and bearing witness to your experiences?

For myself I can say, there was a very big bandwidth of experiences happening this year. Luckily I had the internal and external support to again and again acknowledge, look at and integrate those experiences. But there were also certainly times of serious overwhelm.

Back to you and your story. Maybe this - here now - could be a potential moment of acknowledgement. Acknowledging yourself. Maybe one particular beautiful or difficult moment. Acknowledgement for you. As you. As you are. Where you were, where you are now. And for everything you went through. And also to remember and acknowledge the moments of celebration during this year ... the moments of beauty.

And now ... to ... for a moment ... to be close ... very close with yourself ... and at the same ... to see yourself.

And if you want to go deeper now ...

There are more questions that I want to offer ... What is it, that you felt the deepest connection with during this year? Was there an essential thread that kept you going, when things got difficult? What kind of thread was that? Do you have a sense of that "something" and do you feel you can rely on it? Something ... within yourself? And if not that ... maybe it's the bare ground - that you can rely on. And if you want to take a moment to let this question really sink in: What is it, that you're feeling the most closeness and intimate connection with - just now?

And as this question is sinking in ... offering itself to you ... still ... breathing is available ... the floor is here ...

There is a line of a song that pops into my head: "I am closer ... to you ... than your heartbeat" ... I'll leave it here. I'll leave you with your own exploration ... with this intimate conversation that only you can have with yourself and life.

Much Love
Susanne

I'm acknowledging the ground on which I stand. And I want to acknowledge the very fun and inspiring daily morning Alexander Technique group which I'm happy to be a guest in : ) “Breathing is available ... seeing is available” is maybe the most often repeated sentence there. Thanks for the inspiration and support, Chris and Ben!
